My first CEO-brief
Imsys' new CEO presents the company's work on the brand new product family, customer focus and his first two months on the job.
This is my first CEO-brief at Imsys and I started my tenure around two months ago. My focus in these 'CEO briefs' (roughly one per month) will be on the coming 12-month period. And I want to use this format to explain and inform what tactical and strategic decisions we make as a company.
The goal (and my mission) is to make Imsys a healthy and strong company with a solid foundation. This very first period my aim has been to firstly; get to know my colleagues, get new energy in and a 'team spirit' at the office, and lastly spending time analysing where we should be going.
The very first decision made on day one was aimed at the office itself, clean up and make it an efficient and welcoming place of business after 2+ years of Corona. From now one; everybody must be in the office: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the possibility to work from another place on Mondays and Fridays.
Already now I feel how everyone, not only, works more efficiently but that the office itself is a much friendlier environment. We had a kick-off in mid-October introducing our new goals, values, our new graphical identity, sales focus and a joint lunch.
Our main work focus is now completely on finalizing our new product family IM4000. The goal is to have a new product by the end of November; a product to be able to show the market, display and demo for customers and send out in the world to get confirmation how advanced our technology is. Compared with IM3000 this new product family is a "dual core"-processor that is more complete, LLVM-based, with a software stack and with a more agnostic technology, meaning that it opens up a wider market for us and enabling a larger playing field for Imsys and an increased number of customer applications.
Finally we are consistently working on recruiting and we have already extended our team with a few senior and postdoc as well as doctoral talents within Imsys core areas. These new colleagues will be contributing strongly to the company and the new team that we are building. New resources have also been introduced with our Board of Directors and I look forward to work closely also with them going forward!
