ÅAC Microtec wins new Japanese orders
ÅAC has during the last four weeks received four new orders of total 4 MSEK for the Sirius avionics and power products from existing and new customers in Japan. The products will be delivered during the second and third quarter of 2019. The new orders further the success of the product range in the Japanese market, showing a total order value of 13.5 MSEK in the last 12 months.
Japan has quietly taken the lead in a revolution of advanced commercial space missions, including missions that previously were only attempted by national agencies. AAC Clyde has been one of the main suppliers of avionics subsystems to support those missions which in most cases place very challenging engineering, schedule and cost requirements. Perseverance in resolving tough challenges has been one of the main success factors for the Sirius avionics products which are now recognized as the de-facto avionics equipment for high quality "New Space" missions. There are multiple Japanese companies that have designed their new spacecraft platforms leveraging the Sirius avionics products range. This will intrinsically lead to follow-on orders and is likely to further boost the company's market growth in the geographic area.
