Zhoda's first white wine grape harvest successfully completed
Zhoda Investments' ("Zhoda") recent acquisition SAN, an organic wine producer located on the Dalmatian cost of Croatia, has successfully completed the harvest of the Posip grape used to produce white wines.
This first part of the harvest consists of approximately 13 tons of grapes and 6,000 liters are now in the process of fermentation. This year's warm weather conditions with little rain in continental Europe led to an earlier harvest than originally planned and also lower volumes compared to last year. SAN's irrigation system and carefully planned vineyard has however maintained a high quality of the grapes.

SAN's vineyard is located on slopes overlooking the Adriatic Sea and contains 252,000 vines with the local Dalmatian grapes Babi , Posip and Plavac Mali, the latter being a relative of the Zinfandel grape. The harvested Posip grape makes up less than 10 per cent of the total vines, and preparations are now underway for the harvest of the grapes for the red wine, which will take place in the next few weeks.
