Krasny project: Results show a significant increase of gold mineralization

Kopy Goldfields AB (publ) ("Kopy Goldfields" or the "Company") is happy to announce new drill results, confirming 160 meters extension of the Krasny mineralization, and 620 meters extension of the Vostochny mineralization to the west along the strike. The new drill results leave both mineralizations open along the strike and provide evidences of an important extension of the gold mineralizations to the west, increasing the gold resource upside potential.

During November and December 2017, exploration activities on the Krasny project have been focused on resource increase by step off drilling along the strike on both the Krasny and the Vostochny mineralizations.

At the Krasny site, drill holes were recently completed at the western strike continuation in Profiles 8, 12, 16, 19, 22, 28, 34, 36 and 38. The holes in Profiles 16-38 were drilled to clarify the position of the Lower Mineralization, which was initially mapped in 2012. According to the assay tests received for hole #141867 (Profile 16), #141871 (Profile 19), #141869 (Profile 22), #141765 (Profile 28), #141766 (Profile 34) and #141886 (Profile 38), a solid gold mineralization was intersected, showing parameters like grade, thickness and depth that may be commercial. However, to understand if the mineralization is minable at the current market conditions, resource modelling and an economic analysis will be run in Q1 2018.

Following the confirmation of gold mineralization in Profile 16, which was press released in October 2017, drilling along Profiles 8 and 12 has been done with the target to increase gold resources in the western direction along the strike. Hole #141870, drilled in Profile 12, confirmed extension of the Lower mineralization for 160 meters to the west from Profile 16. The results also show that the Lower mineralization is coming closer to surface. Hole #141488, drilled in Profile 8, is still going through logging and sampling procedures, and results are expected shortly. See Attachments 1 and 2 for details.

On the eastern strike continuation, drill holes were recently completed in Profiles 63 and 67. Hole #141873, drilled in Profile 63, delineated the Lower structure extension down dip to the North. Hole #141898, drilled in Profile 67, which is the most eastern extension of Krasny, crossed gold mineralization at 400 meters depth and extended it for 160 meters to the east along strike. Modelling results also indicate that the gold mineralization extends further to the east. Due to the depth increase, however, an economic analysis is required to understand if the mineralization is minable under the current market conditions.

At the Vostochny site, drilling has been carried out along the strike to understand the scope of the mineralization and to increase resources. On the western side, we have recently completed several drill holes along Profiles 154 (holes #141851, #141879), 158 (holes #141855, #141854) and 162 (hole #141852). All holes crossed the gold mineralization and extended it for 620 meters to the West from the previously drilled intersection. Assay results for Profile 150, drilled in the end of December, which is further 160 meters to the West from Profile 154, are expected in January 2018. See Attachments 3 and 4 for details. The results clearly indicate the potential of a significant increase of gold resources at the Vostochny site.

On the eastern side of the Vostochny strike, we have completed drilling along Profile 201 (hole #141893) and Profile 205 (hole #141853). We confirmed the gold mineralization in Profile 205 but likewise the Krasny deposit however, the gold mineralization, still open on the eastern extension of Vostochny, is plunging to the depth along strike, and an economic analysis is required to understand if the mineralization is minable under the current market conditions.

As reported in the end of December, all drilling within the 2017 exploration program has been completed. The results above and the results still to come, will now be summarized and reviewed. A new internal resource and production model will then be prepared in Q1 2018, covering both the Krasny and the Vostochny mineralizations.

Further positive results from a new scoping study on the Krasny project

Kopy Goldfields AB (publ) ("Kopy Goldfields" or the "Company") is glad to announce positive intermediary results from a scoping study on the Krasny gold project. The study evaluated different gold production options; including development of, either, only the Upper mineralization, or, both the Upper and Lower mineralizations, as well as only open pit production, or a combination of open pit and underground mining. All production scenarios returned positive free cash flows. The best outcome is estimated when producing both the Upper and Lower mineralizations in an open pit with total undiscounted free cash flow of USD 373 million, at a fixed gold price of 1,250 USD/oz and production costs of 601 USD/oz. The study is not yet fully completed; hence, the results may be subject to change.
