Iraklis Hatziathanasiou Joins ÅAC Microtec's Management Team
ÅAC Microtec AB (publ) has appointed Iraklis Hatziathanasiou as a member of the company's management team. Iraklis Hatziathanasiou has over 15 years' experience in the aerospace and defence sector and, since January, is responsible for ÅAC's sales activities in Europe.
Iraklis Hatziathanasiou has extensive knowledge of the fast-growing market for small satellites. He is based at ÅAC's subsidiary office in the UK, at the Harwell science park near Oxford, which is home to a space cluster of more than 70 space companies.
- Iraklis attained experience in the space industry having worked for a number of space organisations. He has developed a wide network of contacts and has very good command of sales and marketing processes which are key to ÅAC's expansion, says acting CEO Mats Thideman.
- Reliable, lower cost technology in small satellites has been a game changer for commercial and institutional organisations and assisted them to address a broad spectrum of satellite applications. AAC's Sirius platform, launched earlier in the year, is designed to accommodate this shift, says Iraklis Hatziathanasiou.
